KraftMaid Construction in Belvedere, CA | Framework Contractors

We’re Framework Contractors, an independent KraftMaid construction and service provider working throughout Belvedere. We install, repair, and remodel KraftMaid cabinetry in homes across the island, from full-gut kitchens to bathroom vanities. Why Belvedere Residents Choose Us for KraftMaid Service

KraftMaid cabinets show up in a lot of Belvedere kitchens and baths, and for good reason — just as they do for our KraftMaid repair in Chinatown customers. The brand has built solid name recognition over decades, and when the boxes are sound, they’re worth repairing and keeping. We know the difference between a Momentum full-access plywood box and a Prelude framed partial-overlay because we open them up every week. That’s the kind of familiarity that lets us tell you in the first visit whether your cabinets can be salvaged or whether you’re better off replacing the lowers.

Noel Carbajal, our owner, spent years learning finish carpentry before he ever touched a cabinet order. He can spot a hinge that’s about to seize from salt corrosion before it snaps, and he’s the one who set our standard for leaving a Belvedere job site cleaner than we found it. We’re not authorized by KraftMaid or endorsed by the manufacturer, though we do offer KraftMaid service in Sausalito as well. We’re independent, and that means we answer to you, not to a corporate service territory map.

Common KraftMaid Construction Problems We Solve in Belvedere

• Salt-air hinge and glide corrosion. Belvedere’s bay winds carry salt that eats at exposed metal. On Vantage and Prelude lines, the original hinge screws and drawer glides rust and seize, especially on north-facing exterior walls where condensation collects overnight. We replace them with OEM parts when available or Blum and Grass hardware when the originals are discontinued.
• Moisture swelling at toe kicks and sink bases. Belvedere’s wet winters push moisture into particleboard boxes on Vantage and Prelude lines. Toe kicks delaminate first, then sink bases start to soften. We often replace just the affected base cabinets with KraftMaid Momentum plywood boxes and keep the doors if they’re still flat.
• Finish blistering on painted and glazed doors. Bay winds through open windows and poor ventilation pull moisture across door faces. Older KraftMaid painted finishes blister and peel at the edges. We refinish or replace the doors and reseal the boxes to slow the cycle.
• Sagging adjustable shelves. Older Belvedere cottages have tight storage, and homeowners load wall cabinets with heavy dishware. Standard-series shelves deflect over time. We reinforce or replace them and adjust the clip hardware so they hold the weight they should.
• Layouts that no longer fit the house. Many Belvedere homes have been remodeled in phases over decades, and the original KraftMaid layout from a 1970s kitchen doesn’t match how people cook now. We reface when the boxes are good and replace when they’re not.

KraftMaid Service in Belvedere: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Cabinets

Belvedere’s steep, single-lane private roads shape every KraftMaid job here, and that’s not an exaggeration. On streets like Golden Gate Avenue, you can’t park a box truck anywhere near the house. We pre-assemble and stage cabinet boxes off-island so the actual street time in Belvedere is measured in minutes, not hours. That means a full kitchen cabinet delivery might look like a spotter waving a pickup down the lane while two crew members hand-carry flat-packed Momentum boxes up a driveway. We’ve done it enough times to schedule it like a concrete pour, not a furniture delivery. The salt air and winter moisture are the long-term threat. The access is the short-term one. Both are Belvedere problems, and both change how we spec and install KraftMaid here.

KraftMaid Models & Products We Service in Belvedere

We work on the full KraftMaid cabinet range in Belvedere. That includes the Momentum series with full-access plywood boxes, the Vantage series with standard overlay and particleboard boxes, the Prelude series with framed partial-overlay construction, and the KraftMaid Bath collection for vanities and linen cabinets. We source OEM hinges, glides, and touch-up finishes through the manufacturer’s parts network when they’re available. When a part is discontinued or backordered with no ETA, we use quality aftermarket hardware from Blum or Grass rather than making you wait months. We stock common hinge and glide sets in our service van, which gets Belvedere repairs moving faster than waiting on a parts drop-ship, and we carry that same efficiency to our KraftMaid repair in Marin City.

FAQs – KraftMaid Construction in Belvedere

Can you match my existing KraftMaid door style and finish for an addition? Yes, in most cases. We order the matching door style and finish through KraftMaid’s current catalog and verify the color against an existing door face before we install. If the finish has aged or faded from Belvedere’s sun and salt exposure, we’ll tell you honestly whether a perfect match is possible or whether a reface of the whole run makes more sense. Call (844) 681-3590 with your door style and we’ll check availability.

How does Belvedere’s salt air affect KraftMaid cabinet hardware? Salt air corrodes exposed metal hardware faster than inland air does. Hinge screws and drawer glides on Vantage and Prelude lines are the usual victims, especially on north-facing walls where condensation gathers. We replace corroded hardware before it seizes, and we recommend coated or stainless fasteners for any new install near the water. An annual check of your hinge screws is cheap insurance on this island.

Do you handle KraftMaid cabinet delivery on Belvedere’s narrow private roads? Yes. We pre-assemble off-island and stage deliveries so the truck spends as little time on Belvedere streets as possible. We coordinate with neighbors, use a spotter when the road is single-lane, and hand-carry boxes where a vehicle can’t turn around. You don’t manage the logistics. We do. Call (844) 681-3590 and we’ll scope the access before we ever order a cabinet.

What’s the typical lead time for KraftMaid cabinets in Belvedere? Stock KraftMaid cabinets can arrive in two to four weeks. Custom or semi-custom orders run longer, often six to ten weeks depending on the line and finish. We place orders immediately after the site measure and confirm lead times in writing before you commit. The bottleneck is rarely the manufacturer. It’s the access planning, and we start that on day one.

Can you repair water-swollen KraftMaid cabinet boxes? Sometimes. If the swelling is limited to a toe kick or a small section of a sink base, we can often cut out and replace the damaged panel. If the box has delaminated across a wide area, the structure is compromised and replacement is the honest call. We’ll show you the damage and explain what we’re seeing before we recommend anything. Estimates for this kind of assessment are free.
