Therma-Tru Construction in Moreno Valley, CA | Framework Contractors
We’re our General Contractor in Moreno Valley, an independent contractor that installs, repairs, and replaces Therma-Tru entry doors, patio doors, and sidelite systems across the area. You won’t find a manufacturer call center here – you’ll get our own crew, familiar with how these doors hold up (and fail) in Inland Empire heat and Santa Ana wind. Call (844) 681-3590 for a free estimate. One contractor, every system.
What to Look For in a Therma-Tru Contractor in Moreno Valley
Most door companies in Moreno Valley will sell you whatever’s on the truck, unlike Therma-Tru in March Air Force Base specialists. That’s fine for some jobs. It’s not fine when you have a 1990s Fiber-Classic entry that’s been baking in the west sun for twenty years and now drags in the frame every summer. We’ve been setting and re-framing Therma-Tru entry, patio, and sidelite doors into Inland Empire tract homes long enough to know the difference between a hinge-and-weatherstrip fix and a slab that’s done.
Noel Carbajal runs our projects. He grew up in Santa Ana’s Willard neighborhood, learning stucco and porch reroofs from his uncle before he could drive. After studying Construction Technology at Santiago Canyon College, he spent nearly three decades building and remodeling across Orange County before bringing Framework Contractors into the Moreno Valley market. He’s the one who walks your door with a level and tells you the truth – even when that truth is “the last flip never got a permit.”
When you call us, ask whoever answers these three questions: Do you use OEM Therma-Tru parts or whatever’s on the shelf? Will you check the rough opening before you set a new slab? And do you know what a Moreno Valley summer does to a south-facing fiberglass finish? If the answer is a shrug, call Therma-Tru sales & service at Framework instead – (844) 681-3590.

Therma-Tru Problems We See Constantly in Moreno Valley
Every city in the Inland Empire eats exterior doors a little differently. In Moreno Valley, the combination of triple-digit summers, wind-driven sand, and tract-home framing from the 1980s – 2000s creates a specific set of failures. Here’s what we fix most:
- Sun-baked fiberglass slabs. West- and south-facing entries in Moreno Valley get hammered by direct afternoon heat. Fiber-Classic slabs chalk, fade, and lose their factory finish years before an east-facing door will. It’s cosmetic at first, but once the gel coat breaks down, moisture works in.
- Flattened weatherstrip and cracked sweeps. The heat cycling isn’t just about heat – it’s about expansion and contraction, day after day, summer after summer. Weatherstrip compresses and loses memory. Door sweeps crack. Then the door seals poorly, and the dust from Santa Ana winds starts blowing through at the threshold.
- Sill and threshold rot or corrosion. We see this constantly on older Moreno Valley tract homes where the door meets a slab edge with poor drainage. The original sill was never flashed properly, water pools after the rare rain, and the wood sill plate underneath starts to go. Frame doesn’t seal, door sags, and you feel the draft first.
- Multi-point patio door hardware that binds. After years of slab settlement and summer framing movement, the multi-point hardware on Therma-Tru hinged patio doors stops latching square. The door drags across the threshold, or the handle won’t fully throw. Usually it’s the hardware shift, not the slab.
- Frames shifted from stucco movement. Moreno Valley’s clay soils expand and contract with moisture – and the dry-wet cycle here is brutal. A door frame that was square in 2005 might be out by 3/8″ today. Your Therma-Tru door didn’t warp; the house moved around it.
Why Moreno Valley’s Housing Stock Makes Therma-Tru Work Different Here
Moreno Valley is one of the youngest big cities in California. Most of the housing went up during the 1980s – 2000s subdivision boom, which means a huge share of the Therma-Tru entries in this city are original builder-grade units now hitting their first replacement cycle, similar to what we see with Therma-Tru in Woodcrest. That’s not restoration work – it’s aging-systems replacement, and it comes with a specific problem we don’t see in older cities.
Because so much of Moreno Valley went up during the 1980s – 2000s subdivision boom, a huge share of Therma-Tru entries here are original builder-grade units now hitting their first replacement – and quick-flip upgrades in the 92553 and 92555 tracts often left unpermitted door and opening work we have to untangle before we can set a new frame. We routinely find doors that were “replaced” during a flip with the rough opening left out of square and the flashing never touched. The new slab was hung on a dead frame, and now it binds.
Before we set a new Therma-Tru door, we re-check the rough opening, the sill plate, the flashing, and the drainage. If a previous owner’s handyman cut corners, we fix it before your new door goes in. Build it right the first time – the second time costs twice as much and nobody’s happy.
Therma-Tru Models and Products We Service in Moreno Valley
We work on the Therma-Tru lines you’re most likely to find in Moreno Valley tract homes and newer builds across the Moreno Valley service area. That includes:
- Fiber-Classic entry doors – the fiberglass slabs that were standard on a lot of 1990s – 2000s subdivisions around Sunnymead Ranch and the 92555 corridor.
- Smooth-Star fiberglass entry and patio doors – common on mid-2000s production homes across the 92554 and 92556 ZIP codes.
- Therma-Tru patio and French door systems with multi-point hardware, especially the builder-grade units from the late 1990s.
- Therma-Tru door systems with glass and grille packages – the sliding patio and hinged French entries where the glass package is integral to the door frame.
On parts, we’re particular. If your slab and frame are still sound, we use Therma-Tru OEM hinges, weatherstrip, sweeps, and multi-point hardware. That’s an honest repair that keeps your door in service. When the slab is warped, the finish is failing, or the rough opening was never flashed right in the first place, we’ll tell you to replace it instead of chasing a seal that’ll fail again. For fast Moreno Valley turnaround, we keep the most common Therma-Tru weatherstrip profiles and OEM hinge sets in our local inventory – no waiting on a warehouse across the county.

AfterWhat Therma-Tru Service Costs in Moreno Valley
Here’s the straightforward pricing for the Therma-Tru-related construction services we do most in Moreno Valley. These are installed ranges, not parts-only numbers.
| Service | Typical Installed Range |
|---|---|
| Window Replacement | $4,500 – $15,000 |
| Impact Window Installation | $8,000 – $25,000 |
| Home Addition | $45,000 – $130,000 |
What drives your number: the condition of the rough opening, whether we’re replacing a door, a window, or adding new framing for a home addition, and how much unpermitted prior work needs to be corrected before we start. A door that needs a simple slab swap with OEM weatherstrip lands at the low end. A full rough-opening rebuild with new flashing, re-squared framing, and a new fiberglass door system lands higher.
Your estimate is free and written as a line item. No change orders crept in after the fact. Call (844) 681-3590 and we’ll walk the job with you in Moreno Valley.

FAQs – Therma-Tru Construction in Moreno Valley
No. We are an independent contractor. We’re not authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by Therma-Tru, and we aren’t a manufacturer warranty station. What we are is honest about it. We work with Therma-Tru products because they’re well-engineered and we can source OEM parts. If your door has a valid manufacturer warranty issue, we’ll tell you how to file it. If it doesn’t, we’ll fix it right.
Yes, when the repair calls for it. We use OEM hinges, weatherstrip, sweeps, and multi-point hardware on Therma-Tru doors where the slab and frame are salvageable. We don’t put aftermarket weatherstrip on a Therma-Tru door unless you specifically ask – it doesn’t seat the same way. For slab replacements, we source through the same channels that supply Therma-Tru dealers in the Inland Empire.
Santa Ana winds push fine dust against your door’s weatherstrip and sweep. Over time, that dust works into the seal material and accelerates wear along the bottom edge. We see doors in Moreno Valley, and Therma-Tru in Loma Linda, with weatherstrip that looks fine from five feet away but has a hardened, cracked contact edge that no longer seals. The fix is usually a new OEM weatherstrip and sweep – call (844) 681-3590 for a quote.
We work on Fiber-Classic entry slabs, Smooth-Star fiberglass entry and patio doors, and Therma-Tru French and hinged patio door systems with multi-point hardware. If you’ve got a glass-and-grille package integrated into the door frame, we service that too. If you’re not sure what model you have, we’ll identify it on site – call (844) 681-3590 and we’ll schedule a look.
For a standard entry door swap where the rough opening is sound, we’re usually done in a day. If the opening needs to be re-squared, flashed, or rebuilt because of prior unpermitted work – and we see that often in the 92553 and 92555 corridors – it can run two to three days. We’ll tell you upfront which camp your job falls into. Estimates are free: (844) 681-3590.
